Grahamstown, South Africa. Situated in the Eastern Cape and home to one of the top tertiary institutions in the country, Rhodes University, the small town is often referred to as a ‘student-town’, dismissing those who live here, survive here, those who call it home and keep it running beyond the fleeting students and academics.

Grahamstown with its water crisis and a municipality under provincial administration has brought activism to the forefront to demand social change.
